Miami's Little Haiti

Miami is a world-class city not only because of its gorgeous beaches, five-star restaurants, and cutting-edge arts scene, but also because of its people and their rich and varied heritages, which make our city a true cultural melting pot. At 9000 square feet, Mache Ayisyen, which translates as “Haitian Marketplace,” is the main exhibition and meeting space at Little Haiti Cultural Complex. The marketplace holds open hours and hosts special events year-round where you can purchase Haitian arts and crafts, enjoy Haitian music, and maybe even catch a traditional dance performance. Upcoming events include Spice it Up! with Chef Danny on July 14, where you’ll learn all the secrets of the finest Caribbean master chefs; Poetic Lakay on July 28, an open mic/poetry event that recurs monthly; and TetAnle Market and Trade Show, where you’ll be delighted by the wares of the best local artisans on the first Saturday of every month. And that’s just a small sample of what lies ahead at this one-of-a-kind Miami cultural center.

Address: 5925 NE 2nd Ave., Miami, FL 33137
