What is check in/check out time?

Check in is at 4:00 p.m. and check out is at 11:00 a.m.

Do you allow smoking in the rooms?

Our hotel and rooms are non-smoking. Smoking is allowed outside on front porch or by the pool.

Do you have a pool?

Yes, we have three pools, one of which is heated! Please ask a Front Desk Team Member for directions to the pool courtyard.

Will your rooms allow rollaway beds? Is there a charge?

We do offer rollaway beds and there is not an extra fee. Please call the hotel directly for room options at: (305) 674-7800

Do you have connecting rooms?

Yes, we do have connecting rooms, however, connecting rooms must be requested in advance and cannot be guaranteed. Please call (305) 532-4006 to speak to a Reservation Specialist directly.

Do you have accessible rooms?

Yes, we have accessible rooms. Please call (305) 532-4006 to speak directly with a Reservation Specialist about your accommodations.

Do you offer Wi-Fi?

Yes. We provide Wi-Fi to all of our guests as part of the Resort Fee.

Does the hotel have a gym?

We do not have a gym on-site, but we have partnered with Orange Theory Fitness located on 5th Street. Please ask the Front Desk Team Member for more information on the discounted rates.

Are you pet-friendly?

Only service animals are allowed at either hotel.

Do you allow outside drinks or bottles in the rooms?

No, we do not. Please visit Shuckers South Beach located in the hotel lobby for outside beverages.

What time is the continental breakfast in Essex House?

Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 10:00 am and Friday through Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

Is there any cover charge to enter in Clevelander’s bar area?

There is no charge for hotel guests to enter Clevelander's POOL+PATIO area. Non-hotel guests will need to pay a cover charge when applicable.

Does the hotel sell any kind of tours over Miami?

Yes! Our Hotel Team will be happy to help you join many of Miami's walking tours, boat tours, bus tours or museum tours.

Do you offer free shuttle service from the airport?

Although complimentary transportation is not available, our Hotel Team can assist with a host of options.

Do you have on-site parking? How much is parking? Is it included in my room rate?

We offer valet parking for $43 plus tax a night with in and out privileges. Parking is not included in the room rate.

Reservation Questions

I booked on a website other than the hotel website and I need to make a change to my reservation. How do I do this

In this situation, you would have to contact the customer service department at the website you used to make your reservation.

I booked on a website other than the hotel website. Is there an additional charge?

Yes. In addition to the room rate, Resort Fee and taxes, we place an incidental hold of $100 per night on all rooms (regardless of booking method). The incidental hold allows our guests to bill restaurant, bar and room service charges to their room. Any unused balance will be released back to the credit card at check-out and may take 7-10 business days. We do not accept cash for incidental deposits.

What is your cancellation/deposit policy?

Our cancellation and deposit policy varies by reservation type. Booking directly with us will offer you more cancellation options.

Is my ID/passport required at check in?

We do require presentation of a valid government-issued identification at the time of check-in. Clevelander only allows guests who are 21 and over. Our guests' safety is very important to us; identification will also be necessary to re-enter the hotel at night, weekends and during special events.

Can I check in with my debit card?

We absolutely take debit cards at check-in. Please call (305) 532-4006 to talk to a Reservation Specialist about the different forms of payment we accept. Our Front Desk Agent will also further explain payment options at check-in.

Do you have an early departure fee?

Yes. An early departure fee of up to one night's room and tax may be applied if you check out before your scheduled departure date.

Is there any way a guest can check-in before 4:00 p.m.?

Yes. If the room is clean and available, we will gladly offer complimentary early check-in.

I was asked to leave $ 100 per night when I checked in, what is this for?

The $100.00 per night is an incidental hold which will allow you to place bar, restaurant and room service charges to your room.
